Position: Corrosion & Inspection Engineer Location: COMPANY HQ at Tripoli Required Qualification:
  1. Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  2. 8 years in Onshore oil production, corrosion and inspection operations.
  3. English language: excellent and Computer literate.
  4. Good knowledge of Plant corrosion/Inspection and Company rules and good communications skills
Responsibilities:
  1. Managing and assuring all requirements for Farwah classification & interfacing between class and flag administration Managing and assuring all requirements for onshore inspection & corrosion activities
  2. To assure compliance with Group rules and specifications on integrity, mainly CR EXP 310 and GS EXP 311.
  3. To update Farwah integrity data base whenever required.
  4. Set up and monitor 10 year inspection plan related to Farwah & BD1 integrity
  5. To monitor inspection and maintenance activities in GMS related to Farwah & BD1 integrity and produce monthly report on job completion, backlog status & issue recommendations
  6. Analyze and consolidate reports from contractor inspectors and issue technical reports when necessary
  7. Translate MOO’s inspection policy into inspection plans and programs and ensure follow up To act as focal person on inspection and corrosion matters. To bridge communications with all parties in MOO, Headquarters, and contractors/vendors.
  8. To monitor inspection activities in GMS related to plant inspection and produce monthly report on job completion, backlog status & issue recommendations.
  9. To ensure that Mabruk field corrosion and inspection data base is available and well documented.
  10. Set up and monitor 10 year inspection/corrosion plan.
  11. To conduct regular internal audit related to inspection and corrosion activities as required.
  12. In liaison with process engineers, production engineers, field operation for all corrosion related issues and coordinates action plans.
  13. Translate MOO’s inspection policy into inspection plans and programs and ensure follow up.
  14. Provide assistance to projects whenever required by his hierarchy.
  15. Analyze and consolidate reports from contractor inspectors and issue technical reports when necessary.
  16. Follow up the global shape of the facilities: analyze failures and corrosion trends and issue recommendations.
  17. Follow up all inspection & corrosion monitoring programs and preventive activities.
  18. Analyzes corrosion related failures or problems, conducts or performs studies and proposes or validate solutions.
  19. Follows up corrosion budgets for his sector of activity (consumables, ext analyses or works, ext experts’ interventions etc.)
  20. Implement the applications of safety and environment standards established by the corporate HSE entity.
  21. Promotes the development of group know how by feed back of experience and proposes solutions in case of technical  problems related to corrosion and inspection.
  22. Rule out five years corrosion and inspection plan with the budget estimate.
  23. Follow up closely the chemical contract with all related issues.
Accountabilities  
  • Follow up contracts relevant to Classification requirement
  • Follow up contracts relevant to corrosion and inspection.
  • Compliance to Classification Requirement and validity of Class certificates
  • Compliance to the company rules and requirement and updated in a yearly base.
  • Ensure inspection & corrosion activities are in line with company philosophy and rules (in particular CR EXP 310 and CS EXP 311).
